NON-SURGICAL TREATMENTS AVAILABLE

Once you have been cleared by your physician  and show no signs of active bladder disease or other significant bladder problems, you may want to discuss non‑surgical treatments for your problem. Depending on your problem, non‑surgical treatments may prove to be a good solution to your problem. Often times these easy treatments are very successful in improving or curing incontinence. Listed are some of the non‑surgical alternatives and a brief description of each.

A computer assisted method of training you to properly use and strengthen your pelvic muscles. Weak pelvic muscles can contribute to urinary incontinence by not providing adequate support for your bladder. By using a computer, we can help you locate these muscles and measure the 'strength and endurance of these muscles. Periodic therapies will help you evaluate your progress.

ELECTRICAL STIMULATION: This therapy is often used along with biofeedback. Using a small rectal or vaginal probe we can apply a stimulation to your pelvic muscles that will help strengthen them by it passive exercise. This therapy is also useful for urge incontinence.
